On and on and on. A cover of my favorite Foo Fighter's track in appreciation of Taylor Hawkins. Longtime collaborator John Hollister is back with beautiful guitar work and taking up mixing duties to turn out my favorite-sounding Heelers jam.
Wandering in Utah
We all change, we all stay the same. Written with my friend Grant about that longing, and misremembering, of the old days when things seemed simpler.
The chunky guitars and singalong chorus in 'Blue Skies' serve as reminders of how fun guitar music can be. The scene painted of a road trip gone wrong reminds us of the promise that good things are on the horizon. Featuring a chorus of friends from across the country, 'Blue Skies' speaks to the road you walked to get here, and the hope for what

A huge, circling riff propels 'Going Home' like so many wanderers' feet through the unknown - one heavy step after another, after another. Lyrically centered around leaving the comfort of what's known to get lost in the uncertain, 'Going Home' is yours to interpret if you're up for the trek. Originally written and recorded by Tyrus and Jack
A huge, circling riff propels 'Going Home' like so many wanderers' feet through the unknown - one heavy step after another, after another. Lyrically centered around leaving the comfort of what's known to get lost in the uncertain, 'Going Home' is yours to interpret if you're up for the trek. Originally written and recorded by Tyrus and Jack Chappen as Grump Truck, this reimagined epic is heavy, deliberate, and firmly plants Heelers in the world of stoner rock.
Ruston
Heelers
The last song written in our first home in Tucson. Started as a writing exercise, a demo was recorded on my iPhone and documented on Instagram before reworking a full studio version. A song about growing, chasing dreams, and space.

Heelers
Six tracks with a decidedly fall flavor. Written during quarantine, Tyrus writes about the dangers of American exceptionalism, twisting of faith, and the changing of times. Acoustic guitars, ghostly keys, and some features by old friends. Out just in time for Halloween and a much spookier Election Day.

The Basement Series
All twelve tracks from The Basement Series. Written in my first year in Utah and released two songs at a time through the following year. Each song in The Basement Series paints personal vignettes with seasick guitars, pounding drums, and synth textures that you and your mom can jam to together.

Bedroom Rock Essentials
One of my favorite hymns - while we're all feeling down, this song gives me hope that we'll get through it.
This is our entry for the Stylophone 50th Anniversary song contest. The stylophone has been an integral part of our sound from the beginning - it's easy to pick up and play, deceptively simple in its design, but full of great lead, pad, and atmospheric sounds when run through a pedalboard and amp. The stylophone has been an integral part of our sound from the beginning - it's easy to pick up and play, deceptively simple in its design, but full of great lead, pad, and atmospheric sounds when run through a pedalboard and amp. For this track, we ditched the guitars completely and used layers of original Stylophone parts, coupled with the wild Gen X-1 for some heavy slides. We don't want to give up all of our secrets, but our favorite sounds came from running the Stylo through the Walrus Descent with an octave up and down added to the swirly reverb goodness.
